When a child is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis or down s syndrome a series of genetic testing is performed. Probability is used in everyday life such as weather, life expectancy, financial markets and even medical testing. It is a part of mathematics that deals in calculating different outcomes and whether it will or will not occur. At the age of 21 Gregor spoke to his teachers regarding his finacial situation and how he was having difficulties paying for school. One of his professors advised him to look into The Abbey of St. Thomas and possibly becoming a monk. This monastery was very interested in science and he could continue learning science and afford it here.
