Child Labor Essay - How Child Labor Affects the Future

Child Labor Essay - How Child Labor Affects the FutureChild labor is prevalent in many countries and today, it is hard to believe that the practice of child labor was something far off and unimaginable. But, thanks to globalization, child labor is more widespread than ever before. The practice can take many forms, but the primary source of child labor is children who work as unpaid laborers for rich or middle class families. Some countries are even worse than others in this regard, but in most countries, child labor is a scourge. In some countries like China, child labor is commonplace. There, children are sold into child labor, and they do not know what is happening to them. Often, these children are used to clean the rooms of their elders, do household chores and even to clean public parks. Some are taught how to cook, while others may be given money to take an identity check. In these types of child labor, we see children who have been physically abused and psychologically traumatiz ed. In some countries, child labor is so common that parents hire laborers because they cannot feed their children. Because the labor is unpaid, the child works under some of the worst conditions possible. If this is the case, why do parents continue to employ these children? If they are not making money, why continue employing them? Parents want to pay their children so that they can have a brighter future, but they cannot afford to.The question on the table is whether the child labor in China is a phenomenon that is out of control or if it could simply be eliminated. To answer this question, we need to see why child labor exists, how it can be eliminated and then how the labor can be paid. The purpose of child labor is to prepare children for a better life, but the purpose of child labor is often for money. For this reason, child labor must be eradicated. The best way to eliminate child labor is to make the labor unpaid and to pay children to perform household chores. Children can l earn all the skills they need to survive as they are learning the right behaviors. This education can then lead to better jobs and a brighter future. Before a child is forced to learn from a teacher or is forced to be trained, all children should have access to childhood education. This education should include an understanding of how children get what they need and how they can gain the skills they need to succeed.
